The recent explosion in Beirut was shocking to see, but traumatic to live through. Those with damaged or destroyed homes feel helpless. Even volunteers helping them sift through rubble cry at what they see. Churches are trying their best to cope with community needs, and Christians ask how God would allow this to happen. In this confusion, Bible Society Lebanon wants to urgently distribute 10,000 replacement Bibles so that families can find comfort in God’s word. And their office needs emergency repair so that they can continue their work in a land already reeling from political and economic turmoil, and the effects of COVID-19.
