Many know of Boko Haram’s violence and terror acts in Nigeria, particularly the abduction of the Chibok schoolgirls who were subjected to rape and forced marriages. But Boko Haram’s terror does not end there. Their raids on villages on the border of Cameroon have forced hundreds of young women and their families to flee from their homes. They’re now vulnerable refugees in camps like camp Minawao alongside tens-of-thousands of other refugees.
Bible Society is raising money to establish literacy and trauma healing programmes for Cameroon’s refugee communities. With your help, more than 1,000 refugees will learn to read this year!
